The Basic Medical Science Center (Elméleti Orvostudományi Központ, EOK) of Semmelweis University is a modern building with unique architecture, designed to support learning and research. Arriving at the airport

Budapest is served by Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD), located approximately 16 km (10 miles) southeast of the city center. Multiple official options are available for transportation into the city, including:

• Public transport: 100E Airport shuttle bus, direct service to the city center.
• Official taxis (Főtaxi): Metered, authorized taxis located directly outside the terminal.
• Uber or Bolt: Both applications are available and widely used.

Managing money

The local currency is the Hungarian Forint (HUF). Credit and debit cards are accepted widely, but some cash may be helpful. ATMs and exchange offices are common.

Cell phone and internet connectivity

If you’re from another EU country, you can use your phone in Hungary with no extra charges under EU roaming rules. Non-EU visitors can rely on free Wi-Fi available in most public places.
