The Basic Medical Science Center (Elméleti Orvostudományi Központ, EOK) of Semmelweis University is a modern building with unique architecture, designed to support learning and research. The building has won multiple architecture awards, including the Pro Architectura Award and the Construction Excellence Award. It features large and small lecture rooms, a library, administrative offices, and research spaces, seamlessly blending education and science. - Metro: Take Metro Line 3 (blue line) to Semmelweis Klinikák station; EOK is a 3-minute walk from there.

Travel Recommendations
Arriving at the airport
Budapest is served by Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD), located approximately 16 km (10 miles) southeast of the city center. Multiple official options are available for transportation into the city, including:
- Public transport: 100E Airport shuttle bus, direct service to the city center.
- Official taxis (Főtaxi): Metered, authorized taxis located directly outside the terminal.
- Uber or Bolt: Both applications are available and widely used.

Managing money
The local currency is the Hungarian Forint (HUF). Credit and debit cards are accepted widely, but some cash may be helpful. ATMs and exchange offices are common.
Cell phone and internet connectivity
If you’re from another EU country, you can use your phone in Hungary with no extra charges under EU roaming rules. Non-EU visitors can rely on free Wi-Fi available in most public places.

- Walking: Budapest is walkable and safe both day and night. Bring comfortable shoes!
