This meeting is aimed at radiologists, technologists, physicists and other imaging scientists who want to increase their knowledge of Magnetic Resonance Angiography and Vascular Imaging. Plenary sessions with panel discussions will be focused on international collaboration, clinical and basic research communication. Our Scientific program will run in tandem with educational sessions, hot topic discussions, and mentoring/careers advice plus sessions edicated to diversity and equality within the wider MRA community. In partners with MICCAI, a Grand Challenge on “Machine Learning in Vascular Image Analysis” will be offered with the final winner selected at the meeting.

SMRA Annual Keynote Lectures formally recognize Dr. Sadamoto‘s and Dr Prince’s long-standing contributions & commitment to the SMRA.
Grand Challenge: SMRA Carotid Artery Vessel Wall Segmentation Challenge
The aim of this challenge is automatic segmentation of lumen and outer wall boundaries from black-blood 3D carotid vessel wall MRI (3D-MERGE sequence).
Training datasets with human annotated contours for lumen and outer wall are provided. Test datasets will be released after participants submit their docker
containers for evaluation.
Top teams will be invited to present at SMRA 2021 and their reports will be evaluated by a panel of experts to select the winner.
