The Society for Magnetic Resonance Angiography is excited to announce the 35th Annual SMRA Conference, which will be held in Sendai, Japan from Tuesday, October 17th to Friday, October 20th. The focus of this year’s conference will be “Exploring the world and the culture of MRA.”
This year’s conference will feature workshops focused on the continued explosion of new MRA techniques and contrast media and their relevant impact on patient management. The SMRA International Conference continues to showcase cutting edge MRA research and stimulate rapid clinical translation including in the fields of advanced MRA technique o the brain, heart, abdomen, and extremities; 4d flow imaging; contrast agents; vessel wall and thrombus imaging; interventional MRI; deep learning and clinical study design.
This year we will continue with last year’s conference format featuring the educational component blended into the main plenary sessions. This ensures value for both seasoned delegates and those who are “newcomers” to the field.
We will continue to share updates as the program and logistics develop, but for now, save the date! We can’t wait to see you in Japan!

We are happy to announce, the abstract submission web site is now open. Please note, this year we will be using Pheedloop for this process. This year’s meeting will include both oral and poster presentations. Similar to last year, our clinical and educational content will be blended. We hope this will allow everyone to get the most out of the conference.
As usual, the scope of this year’s SMRA meeting spans the domain of new developments in MRA, both technical and clinical. Abstract Submissions are due by May 14, 2023.
